Completion may enable you to obtain practitioner insurance, subject to your chosen insurer's requirements. Always confirm your individual insurance requirements before beginning professional practice.

01Entry requirements
The Advanced Body Massage Diploma is suitable for:
No previous professional massage qualification is required.

02Assessment
Assessment is designed to ensure that students have developed both the underpinning knowledge and practical competence required. Assessment may include:
- Completion of required home study
- Written/knowledge assessment
- Practical competency assessment
- Demonstration of massage techniques
- Full treatment assessment
- Case study requirements where applicable
- Completion of all required course elements
- Certification is subject to assessor approval
03Payment & booking your place
Your place is confirmed once either the £150 deposit or full course payment has been received. By booking your place, you confirm that you have read and understood the course information and booking terms.

Failure to pay the remaining balance by the required date may result in your place being released.
04Cancellation & transfer terms
Cancellation by the student. The £150 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable, except where Pathways Training Academy agrees otherwise at its discretion.
If you cancel more than 10 days before the course start date, payments made above the deposit may be transferred to a future course date, subject to availability and agreement from the Academy. Cancellations made within 10 days of the start date are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Cancellation by the Academy. If the minimum number of students is not reached, or if a course must be cancelled or rescheduled, you will be offered transfer to an alternative date or a full refund of payments made.
05Practical participation
This is a hands-on course and students are expected to both give and receive massage treatments as part of their practical training.
Experiencing the techniques as a client is an important part of developing an understanding of pressure, positioning, communication and the overall treatment experience.
If you are unable or do not wish to receive treatment, you will need to provide your own suitable model for the practical elements. Please discuss any concerns with the Academy before booking.
06What to bring & the venue
Training takes place at Taylor Made HQ, below The Forresters pub and above The White Hart on the corner. The building is a working salon, with training delivered in separate dedicated training spaces.
There are steps within the building to access the training room. If you have mobility requirements or accessibility needs, please contact the Academy before your course. On-street parking is available nearby, with additional small local car parks within walking distance.
Tea and coffee facilities are available, along with a microwave, toaster, kitchen and toilet facilities. A minimum 30-minute lunch break is provided.

07Health, wellbeing & professional responsibility

Completion of this qualification does not remove the practitioner's responsibility to work within their own scope of practice. Practitioners are responsible for:
- Maintaining appropriate professional insurance
- Working within their level of training and competence
- Completing appropriate client consultations
- Obtaining informed consent
- Following relevant health and safety requirements
- Maintaining appropriate client records
- Referring clients where appropriate
- Maintaining their professional knowledge and development
